1. Who we are and what this covers
Zaari is a brand of Naganga HealthCare Private Limited (CIN U86201KA2023PTC176181), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 356, Ground Floor, 3rd Main, Peenya Dasarahalli, Bangalore North, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560057, India. In this policy, "Zaari", "we" and "us" mean that company. "You" means anyone who uses our services — a rider, a driver, a fleet owner or a dispatcher.
This policy covers the Zaari rider app, the Zaari Driver app (also used by fleet owners), this website, and the systems behind them.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, mobile number, email address and profile photo.
- Addresses you save, and the pickup and drop locations you enter.
- If you are a driver or fleet owner: your vehicle details (type, model, year, colour and registration number) and the documents you upload — driving licence, vehicle registration certificate and insurance — including their expiry dates.
- If you are a fleet owner: your company details and the bank or payment account used for payouts.
- Messages you send our support team, and the ratings and reviews you leave.
Information collected automatically
- Location — see section 3 below, which explains this in full.
- Trip information: route, distance, duration, timestamps, the fare breakdown, payment method, cancellations and waiting time.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system, app version, language, and a push-notification token from Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Your Zaari wallet balance and transaction history.
What we do not collect
We never collect or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials. Online payments are handled entirely by our payment provider (Razorpay); we receive only a transaction reference and whether it succeeded.
3. Location data — including background location
If you are a rider: we collect your location while you are using the app, to place your pickup, show nearby vehicles, calculate your fare and let you follow your trip.
If you are a driver: we collect your location continuously while you are online or on a trip — including when the app is in the background or closed. We need this so the rider matched with you can see your vehicle approaching and track the trip, so we can match and route trips fairly, and so our support team can locate a vehicle in an emergency or a dispute. Drivers commonly keep the phone mounted with the screen off, or use a navigation app at the same time, which is why foreground-only access is not enough.
We stop collecting your location when you go offline. Before we request any location permission, the app shows you a clear explanation of what is collected and why, and you must agree to continue. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings — but the service cannot function without it: drivers cannot go online, and riders cannot be matched with a vehicle.
4. Why we use your information
- To provide the service — matching, navigation, fares, payments, receipts and support.
- Safety and security — verifying drivers and vehicles, responding to SOS alerts, investigating incidents, and preventing fraud and misuse.
- Payments and settlement — commission, taxes, driver and fleet payouts, wallets, refunds, subscriptions and memberships.
- Communication — trip updates, one-time passwords, receipts and account notices.
- Offers and promotions — where you have not opted out.
- Legal compliance — tax and accounting records, and responding to lawful requests.
5. Who we share it with
| Shared with | What, and why |
|---|---|
| The rider and driver on a trip | First name, photo, rating, vehicle details and live location during an active trip. Phone numbers are connected for trip-related contact only. |
| Fleet owners | Trip and earnings information for the drivers who belong to their fleet. |
| Service providers | Google Maps (mapping, routing, geocoding), Firebase (notifications and app services), Razorpay (payments), our SMS provider (one-time passwords) and our hosting provider. Some may process data outside your state, and in some cases outside India. |
| Authorities | Where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of users and the public. |
| A successor company | If the business is transferred, subject to this policy continuing to apply. |
We do not sell your personal information.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and trip records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for eight financial years to meet financial, tax and legal obligations. Detailed driver location traces are kept for 90 days for safety and dispute purposes, and then deleted or aggregated.
7. Your rights and choices
- You can view and correct most of your information directly in the app.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- You can withdraw consent for anything that is not essential to providing the service.
- You can turn off promotional messages.
- You can ask us to delete your account — see section 8.
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@tryzaari.in.
8. Deleting your account
You can request deletion from our account deletion page — you do not need to install the app to do it. We will verify that the request comes from the account owner, delete your account and personal profile, and confirm to you when it is done. We may keep the minimum records that law requires us to keep (for example, invoices and tax records), and anonymised trip data that can no longer identify you.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, access to our systems is restricted by role, and payment credentials never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your one-time passwords and account access to yourself.
10. Children
Zaari is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app.
